Pr. Ahmed LEBRIHI was born 18/01/1959. He is currently Full Professor and Head of Agrobiosciences Research Program at UM6P. After obtaining the diploma of engineer in food industries in Belgium, he specializes more in Biotechnology and Food Sciences and, particularly, in Industrial Microbiology (PhD, 1986 and HDR, 2003) at the National Polytechnic Institute of Lorraine (INPL, France)). He started his academic career as an Associate Assistant in Food and Metabolic Biochemistry at the University of Nancy (France) from 1983 to 1986, then as Conference Lecturer in Industrial Microbiology at INPL from 1987 to 1997, then Full Professor at the National Polytechnic Institute of Toulouse (INPT, France) from 1997 to the present. During his career Mr. Lebrihi has held various positions of responsibility including the management of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure Agronomique of Toulouse (ENSAT) from the beginning of 2008 to the end of 2010 and then President of the Moulay Ismail University of Meknes (Morocco) from early 2011 to end 2014. In the field of research, his work focused on: Characterization of new secondary metabolites (bacterial antibiotics, anticancer ...) / Characterization of bacteriocins in lactic acid bacteria / Production of mycotoxins in food chains / The physiological study and genetics of biosynthesis pathways of secondary metabolites (antibiotic and mycotoxins) / Isolation of new bacterial species and their use as biofertilizers, bioherbicides and biopesticides. All this work allowed the management of 15 international projects (ANR, FUI, EU, FP, ...), the supervision of 24 PhDs; 4 post Doc; 17 masters, the publication of 141 articles in refereed journals, 11 conference proceedings, 37 Oral communications, 18 lectures, 33 posters and the realization of 5 patents, two of which are licensed. His hindex is 35.
